Hello all. I am interested in finding out more about Native American "Signal Tress" . I grew up near the Portage Path in Akron Ohio and since visiting there last month, I have found a new interest in the Portage Path and it's history. I have not found much on the web about "Signal Trees" or the interpretation of their "Signal". I have read a few short comments on these Native American Signal Trees, but nothing that I would consider from an authority.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'd love to find out more.
